A space that supports each individual's own way of working and provides a nurturing environment to the team to kick back and relax in. A Grade II listed building that needed much care and attention. The design and sympathetic refurbishment to lift and create life with a welcoming feel to the space. A nod to the heritage of design through the palette, furniture and styling of the space was crucial.
A Grade II listed building set over three floors with all the quirky details of a building with this heritage. The design was focused on the existing original features and detailing along with the hidden gems we uncovered through the initial surveys. All rooms were kept as they were with small works carried out to the existing washrooms to create an accessible washroom and shower room for staff. Upon entering the building, the ground floor was designed to remain largely open with a lounge and kitchen area off the entrance hall with the reception and support areas adjacent. This allowed staff visibility into who was in and encouraged the team to sit and socialise together both during the day and into the evening. Rich heritage colours with complementary materials and detailing added a real depth to the space with the furniture giving it a modern boutique feel.
